Carol Pankratz's passion lies in seeing personal space transformed through the use of color and pattern whether that is realized in a framable piece of art or an entire transformation of the tangible perimeters of a room itself.
The artist has a varied disciplinary background, receiving both her Master of Arts in Interior Architecture and Bachelor of Arts in Interior Design from Kansas State University. Having grown up on a farm in a rural, Mennonite community in Kansas, she sought a broader world view and moved to Texas after the completion of her post-baccalauriate degree.
Her first jobs gave her experience in commercial and retail space planning before she changed course to raise her sons. Those years brought her the opportunity to foray into antique furniture restoration. This experience evolved into a more fully-realized passion for decorative arts. Here her broad knowledge within multiple mediums and her experience perfecting varied techniques has proved invaluable.
Her work has been featured in multiple publications including Veranda, Dallas Home Design and British Homes & Gardens. She stays busy working on many projects for residences in the DFW area and can be contacted for both fine and decorative art commissions.
