Hello, my name is Carol Pankratz. I’d like to introduce a way to add custom and unique art to your or your clients landscape designs.

Recently, a client who is redesigning her backyard, asked for a large painting that would stand up to Texas weather. It would personalize and also add color to work with the outdoors.

I am a decorative and fine artist working out of the Dallas area. My background is in design and interior architecture. If this idea could add to your exterior/landscape in the form of a custom art piece I would be happy to show material samples and to discuss your project.

Who feels like they are going through a rewire?

When I sensed this in my own life I started using art to release and connect with new or different techniques.

The above pictures are examples of what I call ‘pruning’. As a gardener prunes to promote a stronger structure—— In the brain pruning is a term for the removal of a synaptic connection. The brain adapts to new stimulation. Taking this idea from the book ‘Your Brain on Art - How the Arts Transform Us’ by Susan Magsamen and Ivy Ross, I have used my method of pruning original sketches to create several finished paintings. This method, I believe, can be helpful for any creative who experiences times of ‘burnout’.

I’m interested in taking this exercise further with others, and would love to have your feedback. contact me through my website: cpankratz.com
